Wedding Season is Here! (Sept 2023)
September to November of a great season for weddings on the Sunshine Coast. We have enjoyed hosting a few outdoor weddings and parties during this time. We have managed to avoid the wet days and our guests have enjoyed Sunshine Coast weather at its best.
Guest Cottage completion (April 2023)
Our Guest Cottage is closer to being finished. Our colour scheme of bottle green, light tan and white trims is looking stunning. The elegant Victorian theme continues from the house into the cottage. The four poster queen bed, small but full kitchen, stunning lounges and long verandah overlooking the river is amazing.
Mangrove Boardwalk (Feb 2023)
To make our boardwalk more interesting we have added posters along the boardwalk where guests can learn more about our riverside environment and aboriginal heritage.
Pontoon Boat (April 2022)
We have bought a pontoon boat so we can explore the river in style. We have created a package where our guests can be driven along the river while enjoying a Devonshire tea. This is certainly weather permitting and diver availability as well.
Kayaks Introduced to Riverside Retreat (March 2022)
We have decided to add 2 Kayaks to our Riverside retreat so guests can enjoy their leisure time paddling along the river and exploring the many interesting sites along the way
In Room a la carte Breakfasts (February 2022)
Now that Covid restrictions on the use of the dining room has been lifted we have asked and surveyed our guests to whether they want us to move back to buffet breakfasts in the chandelier dining room or continue with in room silver service breakfasts. New Pontoon (December 2021)
It took us over a year to jump through all the hoops and get the permission required to have a pontoon built on our riverfront property. A special thanks to Aqua Pontoons for their help to make this possible. we are now looking forward to opening up out property to river exploration.
