A delicious breakfast of our choice was delivered to our room on a silver service trolley each day which we enjoyed on our veranda overlooking the neighbouring gardens and River. The hosts, Merryl and Phil are wonderful and provided lots of additional touches such as welcome chocolates and cakes available in the guest lounge throughout the day. We also arranged an afternoon tea at the House during our stay which was absolutely amazing and great value for money. Super place to stay - we hope to return. More

Merryl’s hospitality is was very touching, we felt that we know her for a long time, she was kind , generous and very welcoming to us.
Phil is obviously a great guy and multitalented and Merryl said most of the fabulous interior decoration was his personal taste and input.
Unfortunately due to our short stay we couldn’t talk to him much but he made us a very tasty breakfast along with pots of coffee and tea, promptly delivered to our rooms.
We also took a friend aling with us who came from Sydney , he was so impressed with the whole experience.
We are planning return back to the place as soon as we get our next chance and strongly recommend this place for any one who loves a victorian style grandeur.

I can’t believe I haven’t spotted this little gem of a place before. Only stayed one night as I was on the Sunshine Coast for business.
I was met... read more on arrival by Merryl, and immediately felt so welcome. This truly is a guest house in the traditional sense. The owners, Phil and Merryl, have obviously put their heart and soul into developing this place, with charm and Victorian elegance in every feature. Check out their website for photos, I couldn’t do it justice but trying to describe it, but suffice to say that when you see it in person, you’ll agree that the atmosphere can’t be conveyed with a few pictures. I’d highly recommend it for couples seeking a romantic getaway, too. Absolutely delightful.
Simply divine in every aspect - we will be back!
We were greeted by both Meryl and Phil, who immediately made us feel very welcomed. Everything about the house... read more was stunning. It was the little things that made the difference. Thank you for such a lovely experience.
Chose this place for our anniversary, because it had a lovely victorian-esque theme that my partner loved. Definitely lived up to expectations, was quiet, private despite rooms being so close,... read more and service was excellent, and at our own volition. Was looking forward to in house dinner and breakfast, but dinner was off the menu due to health issues the lovely hostess had. The breakfast we ordered for the morning consisted of: crepes, fruit salad, bacon and fried tomatoes, yogurt, juice, pastries, tea and coffee. And was cooked and presented perfectly and delivered straight to our door. We ate out on the verandah overlooking the river, food was excellent and so was the view. Spent too much time in the spa, came out a little cooked, nothing a little rest on the comfy bed couldn't fix! Overall will definitely do again sooner rather than later, maybe even next anniversary. Posted to my google acct too.
We wanted a half-way spot between the Gold Coast and Harvey bay, and found Bli Bli House, and 1870’s lovingly restored luxury B&B that was a destination in itself.

The hosts were lovely, but not intrusive - a difficult balance done well.
Plenty to do and see around and in the property. Make sure you leave a few hours to explore !
Check-in and out were relaxed, and we throughly enjoyed the time there.

From start to finish, I felt so relaxed and pampered at the Bli Bli House. We stayed in the Heritage Suite, which is absolutely beautiful with its four-poster bed, fireplace and seating area, spa bathtub, and - most charmingly - its own veranda with seating for reading plus table and chairs for dining. Our hosts, Phil and Merryl, did everything they could to ensure a 5-star experience for us. Knowing it was a special birthday for me, they gave us a bottle of wine and brought us strawberries and chocolate later that evening. The following morning, our pre-ordered breakfast arrived on a cart outside our door with everything served in silver. It felt so lush, luxurious, and 'old world' as we ate our breakfast on the veranda. I have lived in Australia for ten years (I'm originally from the US) and have honestly never experienced this level of thoughtful hospitality and service at another establishment. As a fan of period piece films set in the 19th and early 20th centuries, I truly felt transported to another time and place. My husband and I definitely plan on returning when we can. Thanks a million, Phil and Merryl, for helping to make my 50th birthday a memorable one. More
