They even drove us to the airport in the morning when our taxi got stuck behind flood waters so that we wouldn’t miss the rescheduled flight! With little surprises like a sweets trolley with decadent cupcakes, slices and a coffee machine all in the main lounge and a night cap of strawberries and chocolate left outside your door after you return from dinner. Merryl’s hospitality is was very touching, we felt that we know her for a long time, she was kind , generous and very welcoming to us.
Phil is obviously a great guy and multitalented and Merryl said most of the fabulous interior decoration was his personal taste and input.
Unfortunately due to our short stay we couldn’t talk to him much but he made us a very tasty breakfast along with pots of coffee and tea, promptly delivered to our rooms.
We also took a friend aling with us who came from Sydney , he was so impressed with the whole experience.
We are planning return back to the place as soon as we get our next chance and strongly recommend this place for any one who loves a victorian style grandeur.
