We had a lovely night. Although we had planned on eating in, this wasn’t an option when... read more we arrived. No big deal, we drove down the road and purchased some prawns, which in hindsight sight, it was nice sitting on the verandah watching the sun go down, eating prawns and drinking bubbles.
If the people in the next room didn’t wake at 4.45am on a Sunday morning and turn the TV on and talk reasonably loudly for that time of the morning, everything would have been excellent!
Breakfast came at the allotted time. Again, nice to sit on the verandah and take our time. No rushing to leave early.

Ty Phil and Merryl. Having one announcement about a baby on the way one day and then a proposal to another daughter the next. This was more then a getaway it was a blessing. A delicious breakfast of our choice was delivered to our room on a silver service trolley each day which we enjoyed on our veranda overlooking the neighbouring gardens and River. The hosts, Merryl and Phil are wonderful and provided lots of additional touches such as welcome chocolates and cakes available in the guest lounge throughout the day. We also arranged an afternoon tea at the House during our stay which was absolutely amazing and great value for money. Super place to stay - we hope to return. More

We were given a tour of the retreat before being shown to our luxurious suite. We loved that we could roam around the house and enjoy the sweet trolley, coffee/tea and the pool room. We didn't have time to use the media room/home theatre but will use it next time. Our suite was absolutely beautiful! It was opulent and regal with a four post bed, double sofa, small kitchenette, slippers and robes, ensuite with double spa bath and separate shower and french doors that led onto our own private balcony with beautiful views. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne and strawberries before settling in for the night. The bed was very very comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. We handed in our breakfast choices the night before and received a text message in the morning to inform us that our breakfast trolley was ready and outside our door. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and very well cooked. We enjoyed a hot breakfast with fresh coffee and pastries. The only thing we regretted was only staying one night.
