We were given a tour of the retreat before being shown to our luxurious suite. We loved that we could roam around the house and enjoy the sweet trolley, coffee/tea and the pool room. We didn't have time to use the media room/home theatre but will use it next time. Our suite was absolutely beautiful! It was opulent and regal with a four post bed, double sofa, small kitchenette, slippers and robes, ensuite with double spa bath and separate shower and french doors that led onto our own private balcony with beautiful views. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne and strawberries before settling in for the night. The bed was very very comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. We handed in our breakfast choices the night before and received a text message in the morning to inform us that our breakfast trolley was ready and outside our door. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and very well cooked. We enjoyed a hot breakfast with fresh coffee and pastries. The only thing we regretted was only staying one night. Was looking forward to in house dinner and breakfast, but dinner was off the menu due to health issues the lovely hostess had. The breakfast we ordered for the morning consisted of: crepes, fruit salad, bacon and fried tomatoes, yogurt, juice, pastries, tea and coffee. And was cooked and presented perfectly and delivered straight to our door. We ate out on the verandah overlooking the river, food was excellent and so was the view. Spent too much time in the spa, came out a little cooked, nothing a little rest on the comfy bed couldn't fix! Overall will definitely do again sooner rather than later, maybe even next anniversary. The little touches like free snacks, chocolates and tea and coffee in your room and the trolley of help yourself to as many yummy cakes and lollies as you can eat in the lounge is irresistible.
We can absolutely recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.

We had no idea what awaited us... read more as our accommodation had been booked last minute on our behalf. It was a very pleasant surprise from start to finish, with unexpected thoughtful touches all throughout our stay. Our room was beautifully clean and the breakfast (which arrived at our door on time) was wonderful. The location is very convenient and we enjoyed exploring the grounds and new boardwalk along the river. Our only issue was a bit of traffic noise, but other rooms probably did not experience that to the same degree. Highly recommended, and we would stay there again. More

You will feel refreshed and spoilt, whether it be for a night or a week.
