Merryl’s hospitality is was very touching, we felt that we know her for a long time, she was kind , generous and very welcoming to us.
Phil is obviously a great guy and multitalented and Merryl said most of the fabulous interior decoration was his personal taste and input.
Unfortunately due to our short stay we couldn’t talk to him much but he made us a very tasty breakfast along with pots of coffee and tea, promptly delivered to our rooms.
We also took a friend aling with us who came from Sydney , he was so impressed with the whole experience.
We are planning return back to the place as soon as we get our next chance and strongly recommend this place for any one who loves a victorian style grandeur.

  Our flight was diverted due to bad weather and we were stranded with nowhere to stay. We had tried calling a number of places that either didn’t answer or couldn’t... read more help, but just after 10pm we got through to Phil and Merryl who offered a room waited up for us. They even drove us to the airport in the morning when our taxi got stuck behind flood waters so that we wouldn’t miss the rescheduled flight! From start to finish, I felt so relaxed and pampered at the Bli Bli House. We stayed in the Heritage Suite, which is absolutely beautiful with its four-poster bed, fireplace and seating area, spa bathtub, and - most charmingly - its own veranda with seating for reading plus table and chairs for dining. We loved feeling tucked away in this beautiful room with its private outdoor space for the duration of our stay. Our hosts, Phil and Merryl, did everything they could to ensure a 5-star experience for us. Knowing it was a special birthday for me, they gave us a bottle of wine and brought us strawberries and chocolate later that evening. The following morning, our pre-ordered breakfast arrived on a cart outside our door with everything served in silver. It felt so lush, luxurious, and 'old world' as we ate our breakfast on the veranda. I have lived in Australia for ten years (I'm originally from the US) and have honestly never experienced this level of thoughtful hospitality and service at another establishment.
