We stayed in the Heritage Suite, which is absolutely beautiful with its four-poster bed, fireplace and seating area, spa bathtub, and - most charmingly - its own veranda with seating for reading plus table and chairs for dining. We loved feeling tucked away in this beautiful room with its private outdoor space for the duration of our stay. Our hosts, Phil and Merryl, did everything they could to ensure a 5-star experience for us. Knowing it was a special birthday for me, they gave us a bottle of wine and brought us strawberries and chocolate later that evening. The following morning, our pre-ordered breakfast arrived on a cart outside our door with everything served in silver. A delicious breakfast of our choice was delivered to our room on a silver service trolley each day which we enjoyed on our veranda overlooking the neighbouring gardens and River. The hosts, Merryl and Phil are wonderful and provided lots of additional touches such as welcome chocolates and cakes available in the guest lounge throughout the day. We also arranged an afternoon tea at the House during our stay which was absolutely amazing and great value for money. Super place to stay - we hope to return. More
