Merryl and Phil have done a wonderful job restoring Bli Bli House and creating an ambience that takes you back to days gone by. Merryl was an attentive host and helped make our stay perfect. We took the opportunity to have dinner in the Chandelier Room which was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast in bed or on our private veranda was also included and it did not disappoint.Highly recommend a visit here if you want to be spoilt and pampered!

Strawberries and chocolate on arrival, a complimentary lolly and cake stand with tea and ground coffee, a cooked to order breakfast and more. The room with a four-poster bed as the focus was beautiful as was the entire house - tastefully decorated throughout and positioned on the riverbank.
Nothing more could be asked. We will go again and already have recommended it highly to friends and family.

Merryl’s hospitality is was very touching, we felt that we know her for a long time, she was kind , generous and very welcoming to us.
Phil is obviously a great guy and multitalented and Merryl said most of the fabulous interior decoration was his personal taste and input.
Unfortunately due to our short stay we couldn’t talk to him much but he made us a very tasty breakfast along with pots of coffee and tea, promptly delivered to our rooms.
We also took a friend aling with us who came from Sydney , he was so impressed with the whole experience.
We are planning return back to the place as soon as we get our next chance and strongly recommend this place for any one who loves a victorian style grandeur.

Great attention to detail and a lot of thought put in for your stay at Bli Bli Riverside Retreat. From a beautiful welcome letter and flowers, to treats and a bar fridge that had the necessities, and it was all free. A hot breakfast each morning and it was beautifully cooked and well presented. I was met... read more on arrival by Merryl, and immediately felt so welcome. This truly is a guest house in the traditional sense. The owners, Phil and Merryl, have obviously put their heart and soul into developing this place, with charm and Victorian elegance in every feature. Check out their website for photos, I couldn’t do it justice but trying to describe it, but suffice to say that when you see it in person, you’ll agree that the atmosphere can’t be conveyed with a few pictures. I’d highly recommend it for couples seeking a romantic getaway, too. Absolutely delightful.
