We had no idea what awaited us... read more as our accommodation had been booked last minute on our behalf. It was a very pleasant surprise from start to finish, with unexpected thoughtful touches all throughout our stay. Our room was beautifully clean and the breakfast (which arrived at our door on time) was wonderful. The location is very convenient and we enjoyed exploring the grounds and new boardwalk along the river. Our only issue was a bit of traffic noise, but other rooms probably did not experience that to the same degree. Highly recommended, and we would stay there again. More

Despite the wet weather we had no real reason to leave our comfortable surrounds and enjoyed time looking at the views from our own private veranda. A great range to chose from on the breakfast menu which was delivered to our room each morning. The touching surprise was the silver plate with two forks, sliced strawberries, dipping chocolate sauce and two red heart chocolates waiting on our arrival back from dinner. The only disappointment was it didn't happen the second night when we were so looking forward to this special treat. A memorable stay for our 47th anniversary surrounded by delightful décor that certainly added charm and elegance. Worthy of giving this accommodation 5 stars. More

  Chose this place for our anniversary, because it had a lovely victorian-esque theme that my partner loved. Was looking forward to in house dinner and breakfast, but dinner was off the menu due to health issues the lovely hostess had. The breakfast we ordered for the morning consisted of: crepes, fruit salad, bacon and fried tomatoes, yogurt, juice, pastries, tea and coffee. And was cooked and presented perfectly and delivered straight to our door. We ate out on the verandah overlooking the river, food was excellent and so was the view. Spent too much time in the spa, came out a little cooked, nothing a little rest on the comfy bed couldn't fix! Overall will definitely do again sooner rather than later, maybe even next anniversary. The gardens and surrounding area is so enjoyable and peaceful and Bli Bli house is just amazing. We will certainly be recommending it to friends and family.

  We took time to read some the reviews as we normally book a motel for a getaway. This time our getaway was to take time out before our upcoming wedding.... read more We stayed one night, I wish it was two. From the moment we arrived we felt so comfortable and instantly felt relaxed.
We were given a tour of this beautiful home. Shown everything the home had to offer to make our stay memorable, including a beautiful lolly and sweets cart. We made a cup of tea and coffee and enjoyed the view on our balcony with some sweets. Delicious!

Upstairs was a billiards pool room with a little theatre room. We didn’t have time to enjoy this unfortunately, But if you find time it’s a must.

We went into our room and were taken aback with the old Victorian charm and the elegance of the furnishings. Just amazing.
The bed is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Definitely did not want to get out of it that’s for sure.
We had breakfast served on a beautiful silver trolley left at our door on time. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. Again it was a breakfast that was so well cooked I had to eat it all, as so much love went into cooking and serving it.
Water pressure in the shower was perfect. Always a must.
The fire place was a beautiful touch. We enjoyed a board game while sitting in front of it. We opted to order Uber eats and stay and enjoy our room.
We enjoyed a little walk around the gardens in the afternoon watched the sun go down from our balcony. The water views did not disappoint.
We are already planning another visit and we cannot wait.
This place is a must do.
So many little thoughtful extras. Little treats, bathrobes and slippers. All the quality extras that you don’t expect.
A hotel cannot compare to this and we are so glad we chose to stay here.

  Our flight was diverted due to bad weather and we were stranded with nowhere to stay. We had tried calling a number of places that either didn’t answer or couldn’t... read more help, but just after 10pm we got through to Phil and Merryl who offered a room waited up for us. They even drove us to the airport in the morning when our taxi got stuck behind flood waters so that we wouldn’t miss the rescheduled flight! On top of that, the bed was really comfy and the breakfast was tasty. Thank you so much!
