HOTEL INFORMATION
The Bli Bli House experience is designed to make you feel like you are staying in your own home. Take the time to walk around the historic house and explore the original part of the house; the Library, Media and Pool rooms and the Guest lounge in the newer wing. These areas are for you to enjoy anytime during your stay and the house is full of a collection of art and antiques.
A LITTLE ABOUT THE HISTORY
Attention to history and Victorian elegance was the theme throughout the years we refurbished Bli Bli House. We studied and learnt much about house styles of the nineteenth century to reproduce such a masterpiece. The formal dining room was the first restored, featuring Victorian elegance with dining tables draped with full length linen table cloths, silver cutlery, candelabras, and a crystal chandelier adorning the 14-foot ceiling. Then the fully self-contained garden cottage followed by the guest wing including the Grande hallway, two guest suites, guest lounge, surround verandas and balconies decorated with authentic wrought iron balustrade, and heritage cornicing to reflect the era. Lastly the pool room on the first floor along with the media room and reading parlour were fully restored and refurbished. A rainforest theme was reproduced throughout the gardens to reduce the carbon footprint with educational posters for guests to wonder through and read at their leisure.
AIR CONDITIONING
To operate your air conditioning unit, use the remote control located of the mantelpiece. You can set the temperature on hot or cold depending on the time of the year.
ATM
There is a selection of ATM’s on our doorstep. The closest one is just across the road at the service station or diagonally across the road at Erbacher’s Fruit and Vegetable Farm Shop. EFTPOS facilities are available for account settlement at reception.
AIRPORT
The Sunshine Coast Airport is 5 kms east along David Low Way. If you need to book flights or get to the airport, please let your hosts know
CAR PARKING
For safety please don’t park on the roadway. There are parking bays provided for each suite at the front of the house.
CAR RENTAL AND TAXI SERVICES
Hertz and Thrifty are the main rental companies of the Sunshine Coast. The closest place to pick a car is at the Sunshine Coast Airport. If you wish to ring a taxi the number for Sunshine Coast Cabs is 131008
CHECK OUT TIME
Bli Bli House check out time is usually 10am. But if you wish a late check out please speak with your hosts and they will oblige as look as your room is not booked on that day.

DVD PLAYER
There is a DVD player located under the TV in all the guest rooms.
EMERGENCY AND FIRE SAFETY
In emergency use the entrance door to your room and follow the exit signs out the front of the building. The emergency assembly point is at the main entrance to the property. There is a fire extinguisher located in the main hallway.
FIRST AID
There is a small first aid kit located in the cupboard in the Main hallway. Feel free to access this as required. If an accident has occurred while at the BnB please let your hosts know.
GAMES
These is a variety of board games, jigsaw puzzles and card games in the guest cupboard located in the Drawing room. Feel free to use what you like either in the Drawing Room or in your suite.
HAIR DRYERS
The hair dryer is located in the vanity unit.
INTERNET
The internet may be accessed through the wireless connection. To access this connection, you will require a password on the reception desk.
IRON AND IRONING BOARD
An iron and ironing board are located in the cupboard under the sink.
LAUNDRY
Should you need to do some laundry while on your stay with us please let your hosts know.
MOVIES
A growing range of DVD movies are located in the cupboard at the end of the Hallway. Please feel free to browse the movies. Your DVD player is located in your room or take them up to the media room.
MUSIC
There is a portable CD player in the games cupboard for your convenience. CD’S are stored in the Guest cupboard located in the main Hallway.
PILLOW MENU
There is a variety of pillows on your bed. Should these not suit you for any reason please asks the hosts who will show you a further selection of pillow types for your convenience.
FAST FOOD AND TAKE AWAYS
Don’t forget all meals in our Chandelier Restaurant need to be pre book and confirmed regarding the availability of our chef.
If you choose to eat out there are a variety of local restaurants.
The Waterfront Hotel has a lovely bistro and seating overlooking the water. It is 1km south along David Low way
The Shopping Centre at Bli Bli has Sushi Bar, Thai Restaurant, Pizza, Bakery, Subway and Café. It is 1 km north along David Low Way
Ocean Street in the heart of Maroochydore has a large variety of eating places. It is just a short trip along Bradman Avenue. Just turn right at the lights near our entrance and travel about 5 kms.
SECURITY
Please make sure the front door is locked after you each time you enter of leave the premises. If there are any security problems, please speak with the hosts.
VOLTAGE
Electrical sockets in your room are 240 volts.
WAKEUP CALLS
Should you need to get up early and need a reminder knock on your door please asks the hosts to look after you.
WATER
We are totally on tank water so we appreciate you using it sparingly. At different times of the year the water in the spa baths may look a little cloudy. This is due to the Tanium from the surrounding gum trees. It is totally clean as our water goes through a triple filtration system but it does not always remove all the cloudiness.
